Building Bridges Between Families and Resources

The Seneca County Opportunity Center is here to advocate for and guide members of our community through what can be a complex landscape of available resources, to ensure that every family can quickly access the assistance they need.

What do Service and Support Administrators do?

Service and Support Administrators (or SSAs) are personal advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Serving as a guide, SSAs monitor each service a person receives and also refer families and individuals to community resources.

 SCOC has been providing education and services in Seneca County, Ohio since 1956. Operating under the Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities since 1967, SCOC serves individuals across their lifespan, striving to support and enrich the lives of every individual in our community.

Upcoming SCOC Events

Hoot in the Park

October 9, 2025 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Wear your spooktacular costumes and walk the non-scary Trick or Treat Trail through Opportunity Park (780 E. Co Rd. 20) on Thursday, October 9th, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.! All kids 10 and under are welcome to attend.
Hoot in the Park is free and open to the public. If there is inclement weather, this will be a drive-thru event. For more information, contact Joan Fredritz at (419) 447-7521 ext. 1134 or jfredritz@senecadd.org.
Please consider bringing canned goods to help the Tiffin Salvation Army (e.g., canned chicken or tuna, meaty soups, fruits, or vegetables).
Hoot in the Park is sponsored by SCOC’s Aktion Club and SCOC’s ACT Council. Aktion Club is a branch of Kiwanis for adults with disabilities that are passionate about giving back to the community through fundraisers and service projects. ACT Council is a group of parents, siblings, allies, and persons with developmental disabilities that help provide support for quality programming at SCOC
